& Quality Compliance

NozzlePro holds one manufacturing certification: ISO 9001:2015, verified by Bureau Veritas. This page explains what that certification covers, what it does not cover, and how to approach procurement compliance requirements for regulated industries.

Our Certification

ISO 9001:2015 — Manufacturing Quality Management

ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems. NozzlePro's certification covers the design and manufacture of industrial spray nozzles and spray system components at our Burlingame, California facility.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System — Manufacturing
Certificate holder NozzlePro / SuperKlean Washdown Products
Standard ISO 9001:2015
Certification body Bureau Veritas
Facility Burlingame, California, USA
Certification scope Design and manufacture of industrial spray nozzles and spray system components for washdown, cleaning, cooling, coating, and process applications across industrial, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, marine, chemical, and other sectors.

ISO 9001:2015 is maintained through a documented quality management system covering product design and development, production control, incoming material inspection, in-process quality checks, finished goods inspection, customer complaint handling, corrective action, and management review. Surveillance audits by Bureau Veritas verify ongoing conformance to the standard.

For security reasons relating to our manufacturing facilities, NozzlePro does not distribute copies of the certificate or supporting quality documentation externally. The certification exists and is current — it is simply not available for external distribution. If you have questions about our quality system, contact our team directly.

Scope & Limits

What ISO 9001 Covers — and What It Does Not

ISO 9001 is a process certification, not a product certification. Understanding this distinction is important when evaluating NozzlePro products for use in regulated industries.

✓ What ISO 9001:2015 Certifies
✓NozzlePro operates a documented quality management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
✓Manufacturing processes are controlled, documented, and audited by an independent third-party certification body (Bureau Veritas)
✓Product design and development follows a defined, documented process with controlled outputs
✓Incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods are subject to documented inspection and acceptance criteria
✓Corrective and preventive action processes are in place for nonconformances and customer complaints
✓Continual improvement is a documented requirement of the quality management system
✗ What ISO 9001 Does Not Certify
✗Product certifications of any kind — no NSF, 3-A, FDA, ATEX, CE, RoHS, WRAS, or UL product marks are held or claimed
✗Material compliance to any specific regulatory standard beyond what NozzlePro's own quality specifications require
✗Suitability for use in any specific regulated application — that determination rests with the customer and their applicable regulatory authority
✗Documentation packages required for regulatory submissions (IQ/OQ/PQ validation, FMEA, 21 CFR Part 11 records, etc.)
✗Classification society type approval for marine applications (DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS, Bureau Veritas Marine) — end-user responsibility
✗Explosion-proof or hazardous-area ratings (ATEX, IECEx, NEC/CEC) — NozzlePro does not manufacture intrinsically safe products

Why We State This Clearly

Spray nozzle suppliers sometimes imply broader certification coverage than they actually hold. We believe procurement engineers, quality managers, and compliance teams are better served by a clear, accurate statement of what we certify and what we do not — so you can make an informed decision about whether NozzlePro products meet your specific regulatory requirements without discovering a gap after purchase. If you have a specific compliance question that is not answered here, contact our application team directly.

Industry Guidance

Compliance Considerations by Industry

How NozzlePro's ISO 9001 certification interacts with the compliance requirements of major regulated industries we serve.

Food & Beverage Processing FSMA, HACCP, SQF, BRC, allergen control programs NozzlePro's ISO 9001 certification supports supplier qualification requirements in food facility approved supplier programs. The nozzle material choices (316 SS, PVDF, PTFE seals) align with typical food-grade material expectations. However, NozzlePro does not hold NSF/ANSI 169, 3-A Sanitary Standards certification, or any food-contact material declaration under EU Regulation 10/2011 or FDA 21 CFR. Customers operating HACCP-based food safety programs should verify nozzle material acceptability with their food safety manager and the applicable regulatory standard for their market.
316 SS suitable ISO 9001 supports QA No NSF / 3-A mark
Pharmaceutical & Bioprocessing GMP, cGMP, FDA 21 CFR, EU GMP Annex 1, USP/EP NozzlePro supplies spray nozzles and tank cleaning devices used in pharmaceutical facility washdown, CIP systems, and process equipment cleaning. ISO 9001 certification is a common supplier qualification requirement in pharmaceutical procurement. NozzlePro does not supply validation documentation packages (IQ/OQ/PQ protocols), perform extractables and leachables testing, or provide 21 CFR Part 11-compliant electronic records. For security reasons relating to our manufacturing facilities, NozzlePro does not distribute quality documentation externally. Nozzle suitability for GMP applications is the customer's determination.

Chemical & Petrochemical ATEX, IECEx, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA NozzlePro nozzles are widely used in chemical processing environments for washdown, cleaning, cooling, and quenching. ISO 9001 certification is recognized in chemical industry supplier qualification frameworks. NozzlePro does not manufacture explosion-proof or intrinsically safe equipment — products are not ATEX or IECEx rated. For applications in classified hazardous areas, the end-user must confirm that hydraulic spray nozzles (which have no electrical components) are acceptable under their site hazardous area classification and applicable national electrical code. Material selection for specific process chemicals should be confirmed using NozzlePro's material compatibility guidance and verified with the end-user's process safety team.
ISO 9001 supported No ATEX / IECEx rating Chemical compatibility guide available
Marine & Offshore DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS, Bureau Veritas Marine, RINA NozzlePro products are used in marine and offshore facilities for washdown, cooling, and cleaning applications. ISO 9001 certification through Bureau Veritas (manufacturing quality, not marine type approval) is on file. NozzlePro does not hold type approval from any classification society — DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS, or Bureau Veritas Marine type approval is the vessel operator's or shipyard's responsibility to obtain for any classification-required application. Nozzles used in non-classified marine applications (general washdown, engine room cleaning, deck cleaning) do not require classification society type approval and NozzlePro's ISO 9001 certification satisfies most supplier qualification requirements in these applications.
ISO 9001 on file No DNV / LR / ABS type approval 316 SS for marine environments
Steel, Mining & Heavy Industry ISO 9001 supplier requirements, industry purchasing standards Heavy industrial customers — steel mills, mining operations, automotive stamping plants, and other large manufacturing facilities — typically require ISO 9001 certification as a baseline supplier qualification requirement. NozzlePro's certification directly satisfies this requirement. Heavy industrial applications generally do not require product-level certifications beyond material traceability and dimensional conformance, both of which NozzlePro's quality system provides. For security reasons relating to our manufacturing facilities, quality documentation is not distributed externally.
ISO 9001 satisfies baseline 316 SS and abrasion-resistant materials
General Industrial General procurement, OEM supplier programs For general industrial customers without specific regulatory certification requirements, ISO 9001:2015 certification provides documented assurance that NozzlePro operates a controlled manufacturing process, products are made to consistent specifications, and there is a formal system for addressing quality issues. This is the level of quality assurance most industrial procurement programs require.

Quality System

What Our Quality System Covers in Practice

ISO 9001:2015 defines the framework — here is what that means in day-to-day manufacturing at NozzlePro.

1 Design Control Product designs are documented with controlled drawings, material specifications, and performance criteria. Design changes go through a formal review and approval process before production implementation.
2 Incoming Inspection Raw materials and purchased components are inspected against documented acceptance criteria before entering production. Material certifications from suppliers are reviewed and retained.
3 In-Process Control Key manufacturing parameters are documented and monitored during production. In-process inspection points verify critical dimensions and characteristics before subsequent operations.
4 Finished Goods Inspection Finished products are inspected against product specifications before shipment. Nonconforming products are identified, segregated, and dispositioned through a documented process — none ship without appropriate review and disposition.
5 Traceability Production records provide internal traceability from finished goods back to material lot and production run. This supports root cause investigation and corrective action if a quality concern arises after shipment.
6 Corrective Action Customer complaints and internal nonconformances trigger a documented root cause investigation and corrective action process. Effectiveness of corrective actions is verified and the results are reviewed by management.
Documentation Policy

Why We Don't Distribute Quality Documentation

NozzlePro holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and operates a fully documented quality management system. However, for security reasons relating to our manufacturing facilities, we do not distribute copies of the certificate, quality records, material certifications, or any other internal quality documentation externally.

This is a deliberate policy — not an oversight. Distributing manufacturing documentation creates security risks for our facility operations, supply chain, and production processes that we are not willing to accept. We understand this may be an inconvenience for customers with supplier qualification programs that request certificate copies, and we appreciate your understanding.

What we can confirm: the ISO 9001:2015 certification exists, is current, and is audited by Bureau Veritas. Our quality management system is active and governs all aspects of product design and manufacture at our Burlingame, California facility. If you have specific questions about how our quality system applies to your procurement requirements, our team is happy to discuss them directly.

What this means for your procurement process

If your approved supplier program requires a certificate copy on file and your organization cannot accept a verbal confirmation of certification status, we recommend noting NozzlePro's policy in your supplier qualification record alongside our ISO 9001:2015 certification statement. Many procurement programs accommodate supplier security policies of this kind. Our team can provide a written statement on company letterhead confirming certification status if that assists your process — contact us to discuss.
